VS Code Bug TAB Key Not Accepting Suggestions

Pressing TAB doesn't accept NESDiscussion category

I'm editing something, Next Edit Suggestion shows up, showing a beautiful blue TAB character in the gutter, saying that Tab accepts it, and I hit TAB to accept it and it only inserts a TAB instead of accepting the suggestion. I see there's a closed issue here: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/240922, but guys, this is seriously misleading and useless like this.
